The MLB regular season will end next Sunday on September 29. All of those games will begin at 3:05 p.m. It is possible all of the playoff teams are in before the final game next Sunday or not.
As of right now, the New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Houston Astros, and the Atlanta Braves are all in the playoffs. There are six more spots to be clinched.
If the season ended right now, the other six teams would be the Washington Nationals, the Milwaukee Brewers, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Oakland Athletics, the Minnesota Twins, and the Tampa Bay Rays.
The only team in the American League that is in the playoff hunt at this point is the Cleveland Indians.
The Chicago Cubs, the New York Mets, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Arizona Diamondbacks are still in the playoff hunt in the National League.
There are some possibilities about some tie breaker games if gets to that point. It would be interesting to see if it does.
I would not be surprised to see a tie breaker game for the second wild spot in the American League and the National League.
It is going to be interesting to see what happens when the match ups for the postseason are finalized. New York, Houston, Los Angeles, and Atlanta will be the four favorites to win the World Series.

There is nothing like a home run being hit in the playoffs and there is nothing like a strikeout as well. Every pitch in the postseason matters. The most drama seems to occur whenever teams try to blow leads late in games.
Big time players step up in big time games. There will also be a ton of starts playing in the 2019 MLB Postseason. Will this finally be the season the Los Angeles Dodgers win the World Series for the first time since 1988 or no?
